Hey everyone,

As some of you know, I am just now back to electricity, internet, running water, easy access to clean, drinking water…for those of you who didn’t know, now you do.
My group was originally assigned to stay out in Fond-blanc which is up in the mountains about an hour Tap-tap ride from Port-au-Prince, Haiti.  Turns out having to hike up a mountain to make a cell phone call and having four team members get sick to a point where we needed to get them to a doctor, but two-at-a-time like the Ark, staying up in Fond-blanc wasn’t an option.  This past Saturday after our leader, Lia, and Kameron were driven back to Port-au-Prince and two more (Lauren and Kyle) got sick/poison ivy-type thing…the executive decision was made just to move us all down to Fontamara, in the actual city – where another team was located (in our contact’s home).  Unfortunately, due to our inability to get regular cell phone service we didn’t know until another team leader showed up with a rented truck that we (in 1 hour) were going to need to pack up all of our things, say goodbye to the people we’d been living with and serving with for a week and head down the mountain and into the city.
I can happily report that in the new location, despite being strapped for cash (it’s amazing how much it costs to ship food and water up the mountain) we as a team have acknowledged that we are where God wants us to be.  We don’t know what we’ve been “saved from” or what we are necessarily doing here per say, but we know that it is all in God’s ultimate timing and planning!
We hope to head back up to Fond-blanc in the next week or so before we leave Haiti, since we didn’t really get a chance to say goodbye…I am excited to see the kids again, and the lovely ladies I got to work in the kitchen with…
As for prayers, I would just ask that you continue to pray for health for my team and the squad…I haven’t been sick at all and I consider that a blessing and an answer to prayer, my team is on the up and up (more about this later), but the team we are currently with are going through some of the same stuff….
prayer for an effective ministry, prayer for the people of Fond-blanc and that we’ll be able to get back to see them, and just continued prayers for our leaders as they are constantly juggling their many responsibilities…I will try to blog more about our ministry here in Fontamara and what our ministry was in Fond-blanc.  But, internet here is scarce and irregular…so LOVE LOVE LOVE for now and God bless!!
