We entered the country knowing it was going to be different.  We had sung at the top of our lungs the night before knowing that we would not be able to do so while in Laos.  We crossed the border praying.  We made our way to the city where we stayed and met our hosts, two amazing women who are devoted to seeing God’s Kingdom come in Laos.  I have a lot that I would love to share about my time in Laos, we went to two cities and a village a met some amazing people.  I am unable to write about it in detail on here but would love to talk about it in person when I return.  One thing I can say is that the devotion of Laos believers blew my mind...

These people do not let opposition keep them from their pursuit of God.  Being a Christian is anything but convenient for people in Laos yet God’s church is growing there.  We did a lot of prayer walking a got to be a part of the church that is growing despite the dangers.  I want to leave you with a quote from the pastor of a house church we work with:

“We never know if it will be our last week to meet, at anytime they would come in a take us to jail.  We continue to meet in faith that God will protect us”
