Thank you all for bearing with me, I’m sorry that it has been a while since my last post. This past week was a good one of learning lessons, we were supposed to head into the bush for about four days last weekend to minister to churches. However, we were homebound due to some malaria in our team. Two of my teammates were hit pretty hard with it, but praise God they are on the up and up and are almost 100 percent recovered after completing their meds. Three of my other teammates and I also tested positive but didn’t experience as severe of symptoms. Praise the Lord for restored health!! Please continue praying for good health on team Wellspring, as well as the rest of the squad.

I learned a lot about how to serve the people I am with all of the time. I was reminded of the great ministry opportunities I have everyday to my teammates. I thank God for how He is growing and teaching me the selflessness of community, it is against my human nature. But I am learning to function no longer out of human nature but out of my born again nature, out of the Holy Spirits power.

You were cleansed for your sins when you obeyed the truth, so now you must show sincere love to each other as brothers and sisters. Love each other deeply with all your heart. 1 Peter 1:22

On another note, Iringa town Tanzania! I love it, it’s defiantly in the middle of nowhere, but it’s beautiful and the people are true to the African way of friendly. Iringa is a town buzzing with activity tucked in by mountains. We have had the opportunity to explore some of Iringa’s peaks; it has been a refreshing blessing to be out in God creation!

I cannot express how much I adore our contact and his family here. His name is Pastor Cha-Cha (you can’t go wrong with a name like that), he and the whole Cha-Cha family have been so loving, Mama Cha-Cha took such good care of the girls while they were down with malaria and was so encouraging. Pastor Cha-Cha is a man of great joy; he has a gentle spirit toward his family and congregation that is contagious. I so value the relationships we are getting to build with those who host us along the way on this trip. It is a great blessing and privilege to get to know more and more of my extended family around the world.
