Today we went to Jubilee which is a ministry that houses about 30 women who have been abuse or abandoned or have handicaps, at Jubilee they are able to be raised in home where Christ is shared and they are loved. I really enjoy it! Today I painted nails…
I was painting one of the women’s nails and as I finished up she plopped her feet in my lap. It took me off guard; her feet had clearly been used; walked on, stepped on, kicked; used. She looked at me with such anticipation of getting them painted. She was not worried about what I would think of her feet; all she knew was that I had something that could make them beautiful. As I painted her toe nails I had this revelation of God’s grace. We can come to the Father having been used by this world, as sinners we can come and plop into the lap of our Father and know that He can make it into something beautiful. I trust that He has beauty in store. I believe in the resurrection power that is living in me IS beauty. Not only does His grace wash over us and purify us, it makes us beautiful. His grace doesn’t stop at forgiveness it goes further, it goes to redemption!
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding…Ephesians 1:7-8 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…Romans 12:2 Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready…Revelation 19:7 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth…John 1:14
