Vietnam ended up being among my favorite countries so far. It was my first country on a new team and we focused a lot on building relationships with the locals by teaching English and just hanging out!
I’m feeling pretty poetic, so I’m throwing my recap at ya in the form of a poem!
In Vietnam
In Vietnam, we stayed in Da Lat.
In Vietnam, I learned a lot.
In Vietnam, I learned to play ping-pong.
In Vietnam, you pay in dong.
In Vietnam, I made friends with the lady who made home-made ice cream.
In Vietnam, walking across the moped-filled streets made me want to scream.
In Vietnam, the stairs were plenty.
In Vietnam, I had many sandwiches a week, maybe twenty.
In Vietnam, the taxi rides are really cheap.
In Vietnam, the beds were so nice; all you wanted to do was sleep!
In Vietnam, I read many books.
In Vietnam, we had no kitchen and had to rely on cooks.
In Vietnam, everyone had a good laugh.
In Vietnam, at the Sydney Café we got to know every member of the staff.
In Vietnam, we made a lot of friends.
In Vietnam, it was hard to say goodbye when it had to end.

We are in Cambodia now! So far so good, too! Please pray for us as we love on some kiddos this month. They are super stinkin’ cute. Below is one of the little girls. Pray for this place, Shelter of Love. They do so much for these kids and show them true love through the love of Jesus. Pray for rest for our team, we work 12 hour days M-F. It can be exhausting.

Thank you for all of your continued love and support!
Much love,
Brittany
