So hello everyone! As the holidays start coming closer and closer I figured I would update this thing and tell you all about some of the things that have been going on in my life!
I have started fundraising. And WOAH it is rough! It turns out it’s way harder then I thought it would be. But as everyone keeps telling me “If it’s God’s will, it’s God’s bill!” So please be praying for me with that and that people would just open up their hearts and listen to what I’m going to be doing next year! My team has been very active on our team blog and getting to know each other through facebook, texting, phone calls, and even meeting eachother! I have had the honor to meet a few of my team mates already! They are pretty gosh darn amazing and I already have made memories with them that will last a lifetime… I can’t even begin to imagine or understand what every moment is going to be like by their side next year! I LOVE THEM! =)
Things with my family have been good. Everyone is just getting ready for the holidays. And this time is special considering next year I won’t be here… LORD KNOWS WHERE I WILL BE! (Remember, my race is a secret.)
I found my stuffed animal that I am going to take on the race with me and it’s a teddy bear I made at “BUILD A BEAR” in Nashville. Her name is BUTTER…. After a butterfly which has meaning to me and a few of my teammates…. When you squeeze her hand it’s my brother’s voice telling me he loves me and misses me and it tell’s me to not be afraid and just DO IT! So that’s pretty exciting. I think I will be snuggled up with it every night pressing it over and over just to hear his voice and something to remind me of home!
I have started looking at backpacks… Who knew there were so many different options?!?!?! It’s craziness! So if anyone has any advice… please comment and let me know!
Anyway, I’m going to try and start keeping this thing updated on a reg basis from now on!
