Hello world! Hope you are doing well! I just wanted to take some time to write to you since I haven’t really blogged on here in a while! This past week I got to raodtrip up to West Virginia with my best friend Heather to go stay with her uncle, relax and go see cats! The only thing we had to cover was the gas up there… And even that ended up getting paid for. It was an amazing 3 day vacation in the beautiful mountains in the middle of nowhere… Well in Poca… (Home of the dots)… It is a very cute town and I highly recomend it! It was snowing like crazy the entire time we were there but it was so relaxing! The way there and back was a bit bumpy though (but hidden with blessings)… Heather picked me up at my house at 5 AM on Tuesday morning… We were so excited to hit the road and have our first “GROWN UP” roadtrip all alone… We pumped up the volume in the stereo… Rocked out for a total 5 mins before her tire got a hole in it… She was so scared. But we called the tire people and they sent someone to change the tire… AKA put on the spare which we were going to have to wait for the tire place to open for a few hours… So Heather was stressed. Well the guy/ angel showed up and he looks at the tire, looks at us, looks back at the tire and tells us he can just fix the tire instead of changing it… So no need to get a new tire! YAY! He was so nice and amazing and helped calm us down as he fixed everything in the freezing cold! Anyway, we hit the road… Got to catch up and spend girl time and coming up with new inside jokes… As we kept driving north, the snow and ice got thicker and thicker… It was so pretty! We finely got into poca around 5 PM that night and went to dinner…

On a side note, James and I have recently become vegetarians… Who knew that it would be super hard to order at TGIF’s?!?! But I was good and didn’t eat steak… I did however have an amazing salad. We went back to the cabin like house on the lake and busted into her uncle’s DVD collection with over 800 choices on what to watch… It is really neat how he has it set up. We passed out that night watching movies. We woke up and watched movies all day, relaxed, went to town for a few, took pictures in the snow, went to see a movie and ate dinner with Heather’s other aunt and uncle… Who her uncle was actually Alice Ripley’s (From next to normal- Broadway show)’s acting teacher in grad school! I was in heaven while I got to pick his brain! It was so much fun!
The next day we did some more relaxing before heading to Charleston to see CATS! It was amazing! By the 2nd act I was convinced I was a cat and almost went off the ledge of the balcony… I’m a dork….
We left this morning around 5 AM… We braved the weather and only ended up running off the road into the ditch one time, almost running into a lake at Abe Licoln’s birthplace, and getting run over a few times! Hahaha! But we made it home safe and sound… I also got to experience prob the grossest public bathroom in the country! FUN TIMES!

Now I’m safe and sound and so happy I got to spend this week with Heather.

My team has been talking about the issue of dying on our team blog. When I first applied I didn’t even think about things like that… But after a while it hit me… And I have finely come to peace with the idea. Honestly, we could die. And I would be okay with that. I would love to go out by serving others and actually accomplishing things for the kingdom! Another thing this has done for me is really getting the chance to enjoy the simple pleasures. I take pictures prob every 5 mins to document and hold on to every moment I can. It also lets me express feelings I have for those I care about the most. I’m so happy… Happier then I have ever been… And it all comes from the idea that I could die. It makes no sense yet all the sense in the world! I thank God for every min I get on this earth to be with the ones I love and to serve… Time is precious…

My teammate Brandi actually found this from another racer’s blog and shared it on our team page… I wanted to share it with you all….
It describes EXACTLY HOW I FEEL!

Infiltrate, By: Worth Dying For
I’m a part of the Fellowship of the Unashamed.

I have Holy Spirit power.
I’ve stepped over the line.
The decision has been made.
I’m a disciple of His.
I won’t look back, let up, slow down, back away or be still.
My past redeemed, my present makes sense, my future is secure.
I’m finished and done with low living, sidewalking, small-planning, smooth-knees, colorless dreams, tame visions, worldly-talking, cheap-giving, and dwarfed goals.
I no longer need pre-eminence, position, promotion, applause or popularity.
I don’t have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised, regarded or rewarded.
I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk by patience.
I’m uplifted by prayer, and labour by power.
My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions are few, my God reliable.
My mission is clear.
I cannot be bumped, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded or delayed.
I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of my adversaries, negotiate at the table of my enemy or ponder at the pool of popularity.
I won’t give up, shut up, let up until I’ve stayed up, stored up, prayed up, preached up for the cause of Christ.
I am a DISCIPLE OF JESUS.

We will fight for You
We will die for You
We will go
For You

Love you all!
