So I just had a min and I wanted to just say hi to you and tell you some things that have been happening in my life this week.
On the 20th, my wonderful and beautul team had a funeral for my daughter. It was the most amazing thing ever and I had no idea they were doing it. How blessed am I to be around such amazing brothers and sisters?
Yesterday, My team met an 100 year old woman lying on the ground and I am not sure how to explain the experience except amazing. We have started to learn a little creole and french so we made small talk, We met her family, prayed over her, and gave her food…. Completely unexpected but totally amazing.
Tomorrow is our final day off in Haiti before we leave for the DR…. (YAY FOR REAL STORES AND HOPEFULLY INTERNET!!! …. I’m super lacking in deodarant right now… hahaha!) But anyway, we are heading to a nice part of haiti to just have a nice day off and travel since we haven’t really seen much of Haiti other then where we have been staying! I’m super excited!
Yesterday, a girl named Caitlin joined our group and is living and working with us the next week… She’s pretty awesome! She ended up meeting a woman in the airport who had been left and brought her back to the beachhouse so she stayed with us for the night as well… It was an awesome testimony to watch…
My leg is starting to heal from my fall. For those of you who don’t know I fell down the side of a mountain a little ways the other day and got a boo boo… hahah… Everything is okay and I am truely blessed though because it’s healing nicely. And also, it gives me a reason to rock out with my neon colored bandaids! which let’s kids know I have them so I get to help them by playing doctor!
I miss home. It’s starting to hit me… but at the same time, I feel like I live in another life so there is nothing to miss. And unlike “LOST”… I know I am getting off this island and I know when it is going to happen. Every single day I’m on the race is a blessing straight from God and I can’t let one second pass me by without trying, tasting and doing new things.

Also, Found a blue crab today, pet it, freaked out… Had a dance party with our cooks last night… And crossed the poop river again once more for internet. Just thought you would like to know. ha!
