Kristen- I love this girl! She has such a compassionate heart that notices people that others overlook. It’s so incredible! Kristen is a former college swimmer so I know we are about to get intense with some workouts this year! She is also a teacher, which means she has lots of wisdom to share about how to corral and control wild herds of children!
Haleigh- She has this amazing, quiet strength to her and a (seemingly contradictory) gentle fierceness to her. God has given Haleigh a spiritual gift where sometimes she can meet a person and know so many things about them without ever speaking to them, it’s incredible! I can’t wait to see how God uses her this year!! She is a runner and an athlete and I know we are going to have some crazy runs and workouts this year.
Sophia- First thing you notice about Sophia is that she is bubbling with joy- it’s contagious! She totally goes with the flow. She is also serious about unity and she brings it yo! And man, can this girl sing! I can’t wait to see how God uses her voice to break chains and release freedom this year! Also, she isn't afraid to wear an inflatable dinosaur on her head every once and awhile.
Jenny- Hands down, sweetest girl you will ever meet! When she talks she has this genuiness to her that just makes you want to be her friend! She’s Canadian, so I sometimes pick on the way she talks haha! She is also a hair stylist, so coming from someone whose greatest hair accomplishment is learning how to put my hair in a bun; I know I am going to be so blessed in this department too. She is our team leader and I am SO excited about this! I can’t wait to spend this year serving with her!
Charlyn- You’ll notice this girl also has a quiet strength to her when you meet her, and once she opens up, there is this crazy fun girl too that can keep you laughing for hours! She speaks Spanish fluently and I’m beyond blessed to be serving alongside her, especially in those Spanish speaking countries where I no almost nothing beyond “No hablo Espanol”. Also, this girl is just plain cool. and she LOVES sweet tea.
Shanda- This girl is a sweet little southern belle! I have already been so blessed by this girl’s mad hair skills. I can’t wait to learn so many new things from her this year! She for sure has a heart to see lives changed and souls won, and I can’t wait to minister alongside her!
Future World Racers (or current racers who are unhappy with their team) – The world race staff works hard to put you on teams that you SHOULD be on. Trust them. They are constantly praying over the whole team building process, and even though you think you should be a team leader, or you should be on a different team, etc., trust them and trust that God will put you or already has put you on a team for a reason. They need you. You need them. Roll with whatever team you land on, you could end up being pleasantly surprised with how much you will love these people in a short amount of time.
