So this is my third team since being on the race, which has only been 4 1/2 months. With each team change the Lord has brought almost a new season within the race.

New life lessons.

New personalities.

New friendships.

New adventures.

New testimonies.

New challenges.

New life.

New hope.

It’s so easy to get frustrated that while everything else is already changing- route changes, things at home, etc., the last thing you want to change is your team. They’re your closest support and loudest cheerleaders here. You’ve walked through so much with them and they with you, why change that?

The Lord is sovereign though and knows the right people that we need in our lives and when. So I trust that and am happy to introduce to you- Team Bethesda. Almost every member of our team recently received prophetic words (before we were on a team together) about water and diving in and trusting God.

The pool of Bethesda is a story in John 5 where an angel would come and stir the water in this pool at certain times and the first person in the water gets healed. A very sick man had been trying to get into this pool first for many years, but someone always beat him in. So Jesus simply asked him if he wanted to be healed, and though the man tried to make excuses for why he wasn’t healed, Jesus told him to simply pick up his mat and walk.

That is what we are called to do. Instead of waiting around hoping someone might help us into the water, we need to trust that Jesus can heal, provide, speak to, restore, etc. and walk in that reality.
