First of all, I want to say thank you to those of you who have supported me financially, prayerfully, or by reading my blog. At the beginning of August, I went to training camp in Georgia to meet my team (they’re great!) and prepare for the trip.
During training camp, there was a part of my heart that just didn’t feel right about going on the trip, and I pushed it aside as nerves (leaving everyone and everything I know wasn’t going to be an easy task), but as I prayed, I realized that the uneasiness in my heart was because I am not supposed to go on the World Race.
It breaks my heart because I don’t want to let anyone down, and I was really excited about going, but I know that this is not God’s will for me right now.  It has been an extremely difficult decision to make, but I feel very at peace with the decision to follow a different path.  I truly believe that God has taken me through this process for a reason and I am so excited to see where He leads me in the future.
For those of you who have supported me financially, be on the lookout for a letter from Adventures in Missions in the next week or two.  They will be informing you of your options in regards to the money you have donated.
