I’m back online!

For the past 3 weeks or so my team has been in a closed country which I can now reveal the name of…Laos! We all decided not to use internet for the month, or talk about where we were going to help keep our contacts and ourselves safe. Because Laos is a closed country it’s against the law to share the gospel with anyone, convert people to Christianity, or even to have worship in your own house. There are a few Christian Evangelical churches there, but they are extremely regulated by the government. The pastors work for the government and they have to get permission for everything they do.

So I can’t share much about where we were exactly or what we did online, but I’d love to share with you all when I get home!

What I can say is that we had a great month! We visited a couple different cities and a village. We met so many amazing Christians who will do anything for God. It was so encouraging to see the faith they have! One pastor we met at an underground church told us that a friend of his was urging him to join the evangelical church to stay safe. He told his friend that it’s God who protects him and the people at the underground church, and that they will keep meeting and God will protect them whatever happens.

So now we are in Bangkok, Thailand for a couple days before we start our last leg of the race in Central America. Saturday we fly to Tokyo, LAX, Miami, and then Nicaragua. Most of my squad will be staying in Nicaragua for the month, but my team and one other team will travel on to Honduras for the month. Then we’ll go to El Salvador and Guatemala before finishing out the race and heading home.

Prayer!
-Safety as we travel to Central America.
-That we won’t just coast through the last 3 countries knowing that the end is near, but that we’ll continue to be used by God to bring love, hope and freedom to His children.
– A renewed passion for serving God and compassion for the people we meet.
