I’ve been getting a lot of spiritual warfare lately and some from my own choices. Staying on guard is important because the enemy is always prowling around like a roaring lion. You cannot miss the part before that, stay alert! He’s looking for opportunities to bring me down and stop me from doing what I am called to do. How vital is it that we are to stay alert? I believe it is extremely necessary because if we aren’t then he will catch us at our weakest moments and he knows our weak spots, what draws us in. You wanna know how I know that? Because he uses the same old tactics over and over again. It is really discouraging when I do fall into the trap but I won’t stay stuck in self pity or pride, I simply refuse to continue to consciously walk in sin. Now, does that mean making excuses for our behavior every time is okay? No, of course not. When we mess up, we repent and learn from it. We don’t dwell in the mistake. God doesn’t want that for us, in fact, there is no shame or condemnation for those who belong in Christ Jesus. We are overcomers! Staying rooted in Gods word and His promises are so refreshing to me. To be able to take in what He says about me always overpowers the lies of the enemy. When the enemy says “I screwed up again and I will never get that right”, God says “my daughter, I forgive you, please work in this area and I will come along side of you holding your hand through it.”
Lie: I’m a failure.
Truth: I am victorious in Jesus Christ and even though I have struggles and shortcomings, I’m working on it with Him right beside me. I am an overcomer!!!!!!!!!
