Valentine’s Day always makes me think of what I love, what is beautiful about life. I know that sounds cliche and I hope that I express my love and appreciate the beauty of life all year-long, but I want today to be a reflection of all those beautiful, lovely things.
I LOVE my beautiful Savior for loving me first and giving Himself for me–the greatest act of love.
I LOVE this life–with all its adventures, laughter, tears, and beautiful messes–I have been given to glorify Jesus with.
I LOVE that Jesus has entrusted me with big, scary, wonderful dreams that I can only accomplish with Him.

I LOVE that I’m in Africa right now living this life out.
I LOVE that God is not done with me yet–that there is so much more He has for me to live out and learn.
I LOVE that He wasn’t satisfied with me living as an enthusiastic fan of who He is, but that He called me out of that life into one where I recklessly abandon it all to be a true follower of Christ.
I LOVE that Jesus is pursuing me and desires intimacy with me.
I LOVE that He loves me just the way I am, but that He loves me too much to let me stay this way.
I LOVE the beauty of this earth and the people who inhabit it.

I LOVE how much He loves His creation.
I LOVE the people God has placed in my life to experience His goodness with–my wonderful, quirky, Christ-following family and my constant, loving friends.

I LOVE that I get to share His love with people all over the world.

I don’t want this reflection of love and beauty to be relegated to an event one day a year, but instead I want to ask myself everyday:
What do I find beautiful and lovely in my life today?
