Today is Thanksgiving…a day to give thanks for all the wonderful blessings in our lives.
So, to celebrate we are eating a chicken (since we haven't seen a turkey in months), who is still joyfully running around without a clue as to what is about to happen to him in a few hours. We are attempting to make an apple and sugar concoction since its our closest option to pumpkin pie, stuffing (without an oven), and green beans (freshly picked out of our backyard).
On this day of thanks, here are just a few things I'm thankful for…
-
My incredible family who loves, supports, and prays for me continuously
- My friends who are always there for me
- All of my supporters who are here with me in spirit
- My team who has become like family to me these last couple of months
- This opportunity to share the love of Jesus with the beautiful people of Nepal
- A roof over my head, a comfy sleeping pad, and warm sleeping bag
- The breath-taking view I wake up to each morning
- The water that runs from the river so that we can take a refreshing shower each day
- Milk tea and curry each morning and night
- The love shown to us by Pastor Tara and his family
So, even though I'm missing the food, family, and friends this day, I'm so thankful that God has called me to this place with these people at this time.
