Sometimes God asks us to do things we aren’t really sure about. Maybe because it’s out of our comfort zone, maybe its because we think its too big of a sacrifice or maybe it’s because everyone around else tells us we shouldn’t. But what happens if we do it? If we really listen to God, trust Him, and go through with it? Personally, I believe it’s in these sort of moments where we find what we were created for.

This last week, Craig and I went out on our bikes at night into the city to minister to whoever God brought us to. To start off, we took a different route than we had taken all month. We passed some streets and then ended up at stopping point. I asked Craig which way we should go and after contemplating for a few short moments, Craig pointed down the road and said “I feel like God told us to go down this street.” This wasn’t a road we’ve ever been down before, and it hardly had any lights. Craig’s initial response? “Nah, I don’t think so God, it’s dark and scary.” But, being the bold and obedient man he is, Craig lead us down that road.
We ended up meeting Romania, who was sitting on the curb with a couple co-workers. I instantly felt like she was an old friend. She had just finished up with work and was hanging out outside. After talking with her for about an hour we exchanged numbers and made arrangements to meet for breakfast. During breakfast, she shared with us how she has NEVER stayed late after work. But for some reason she did that night. And for that same some reason we decided to take a different route, and Craig decided to listen to God and take us down that scary unknown road.
I believe God’s purpose in this was that He wanted His daughter Romania to know how much He loves her. And how He can see the burdens she carries, and He wanted to tell her that she can come to Him, and He will give her rest. (Matthew 11:28) This is the scripture Romania read out loud after she heard the gospel that morning.
This is one of the many divine appointments God set up this month. What I love about it, is God knows how we’re wired, he knows who we need to cross paths with and when. He could of chosen any one in this city to bring us to, but He brought us to her. Like wise, He could have chosen someone else to go down that road and meet Romania. But He didn’t. He chose us for a reason, and I am honored to of been invited into that with Him.

I encourage you to seek out what God is inviting you into. What dark and maybe scary road does He want you to go down? Who is sitting on the curb waiting for you? Go after it, grab God’s hand, trust Him and see what He has for you, yeah, it’s different, it’s unknown, you may not know what to do or what to say but that may just be part of the reason why God’s inviting you! 🙂

ALSO!! Im looking for an Army of 20! 20 people that want to be apart of the final countdown! I have just $2000.00 left to raise in order to finish these last 3 months of this race strong. My vision is to partner with 20 different individuals who feel lead to each donate $100. I believe strongly that God is going to build a radical testimony out of this last amount! I can’t wait to share it, and I can’t wait to see who God calls to make up this Army! 🙂
