My name is Brittany Foster, and I am 21 years old. I was born and raised in Barnesville, Georgia. I have a wonderful Christian family including parents, grandparents, and even great-grandparents that have been tremendous examples of serving the Lord. My parents are Jody and Melanie Foster, and I have one younger brother, Jake. I grew up in church, and was saved at a young age. As a teenager I truly committed my heart to the Lord. I have always had a huge heart for international missions, and have been to the Philippines five times with Little Children of the World, an organization started by my family, ministering to street children and children at risk in Dumaguete City, Philippines. I have also been to Ghana and Haiti through BCM. I just graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Truett McConnell University. While at Truett McConnell I played volleyball for two years. Currently, I work at Upson Regional Medical Center as a Nurse Tech. I plan to attend medical school in the future. The Lord has called me to be a missionary as medical doctor. I love sports, movies, and travel. My Meyers/Briggs profile is ISTJ, and it is scary how accurately that describes me. I love doing new things and meeting new people, however I would like to come out of my introversion even more throughout this year. The Lord has called me to The World Race in so many ways. He has laid a passion for missions on my heart, and the opportunity for The World Race came at the perfect time. His provision is so amazing so far, and I know the Lord will continue to work throughout the year. This year will stretch me physically, mentally, and most importantly, spiritually. I am excited and also a little terrified for what this year has in store, but I know the Lord has great things in the works. Please pray for me as I embark on this incredible journey, and pray for the people my team and I will come in contact with throughout the coming year.
