Since I launched for the World Race back in September, I have been to 5 countries and I will be on my way to country number 6 in just a few days. I have travelled by plane, bus, van, chicken bus, and countless tuk-tuks. I have painted a wall and worked in a daycare, preached multiple times a week, searched for new ministries for the world race to work with, loved women that are stuck in sex trafficking, taught English, and much more. I have slept in tents, hostels, hotels, airports, bus stations, busses, and the floors of churches. I have eaten strange food, been hungry, had my weight in peanut butter, and spent money I didn’t have on diet coke. I have worn dirty clothes, used squatty potties filled with cockroaches, and taken bucket showers.
I say all that to say this, these last 5 months have changed my life in so many ways. I have realized what is important and what is not. I have found joy in the little things. I have removed old ways of thinking and replaced them with thankfulness. I have learned from my squad, my team, and people in every country I have been in so far.
The world race is truly a great thing. It is the hardest thing I have ever done but it is just what I need and right when I needed it. I cant believe I am admitting that right now, but it is true. This race is nothing I imagined it to be but God knew what it was when I signed up. He knew what it was when He called me here. And I believe He has a plan for me to continue on.
That being said, I am coming up on my final deadline and I am a little less than $6,000 away. If I don’t meet this deadline, I could be sent home and not able to finish the world race. I have come so far and I don’t want to stop here.
Please prayerfully consider helping support this journey of a lifetime. Thank you in advance!
