We made it to Thailand!! Arrived around 7am this morning, and we’re hanging around Bangkok for a couple days to get a cultural briefing and solidify plans for the month. I think this is the most drastic culture shock I’ve ever experienced… Africa to Asia. I love it here already.
We spent a few days debriefing in Nairobi and also had team changes once again. I’m back on the all girls team as the team leader, and I’m so excited for this new group! We’ll be in Pattaya, Thailand for the month working with Step Ahead Itsera. They work with women at-risk of going into prostitution by providing training and opportunity for employment making leather hand bags. The ministry sounds incredible, and I really think this month is going to be amazing. Please keep the whole squad in your prayers in light of team changes, health, safety, and the upcoming ministry.
