If you know anything about the world race you know they have a 5 day retreat called Project Searchlight where racers come to get refilled, refreshed and encouraged on how re-entry is going. It’s a safe place where we as racers can come together to share and discuss how home has been going with people who have previously gone through what we’re currently experiencing and encourage us in that.

I’ve been praying a lot about next steps for me and what I feel the Lord is leading me into. I have some big Kingdom sized dreams to make an impact on home. I don’t believe the world race is for everyone, but I do believe what we learn on the world race about the Kingdom and biblical community is what our generation is so desperately craving. We’re hungry for more and I want to bring home mentorship and discipleship to help empower young people to chase their Kingdom dreams! But the question I find myself contemplating is…How do I bring what I’ve learned home and give it away to people in my generation?

Three days ago I got an email that changed my trajectory. I was asked if I would be interested in going out to lead a passport trip. (Passport is Adventures in Missions’ semester long trips for college students between the ages of 18-22) If you know my story, you know that back in the fall of 2012 I went on a passport trip to the Philippines that changed my relationship with the Lord. I’m very passionate about this age group because they’re so hungry to see the Lord move in tangible ways and are really searching for their identity in what kind of human they want to be. What’s the catch you ask — I would need to leave as soon as I can because the trip has already started! I interviewed and was given 48 hours to really pray about whether this is something I would be interested in. And this morning after a long phone call I decided to lead and was accepted!

So I am leaving back to Africa on September 29th! I’ll be co-leading a group of 13 people – 12 girls and 1 guy who are on fire for the Lord! They’re hungry for discipleship and have already been killing it for the Kingdom! I simply cannot wait to meet them and hear their stories and experiences from how the Lord moved in their first month. Their trip is called African Expedition, because they get to experience 3 African countries. Currently they are finishing up their first month in South Africa with their other leader, Alleigh. Next they head off to Botswana and then finish off the trip in Zambia. We head back to the states on December 2nd! I’ll be meeting them in South Africa for their first debrief where I’ll get to do one on one’s with each of them and share a little about my walk with the Lord, my heart for them and how the Lord completely changed my life while I was in Africa! And the even more exciting news — If you’ve heard about my favorite month of my race in Botswana in the Okavango Delta….I GET TO GO BACK! How cool is our God folks!!!!!

In order for this to be possible I need to fundraise again.
This time it’s only $2000!

You can donate through my world race blog today if you’d like to support me financially in this new journey! (the fundraising bar will be up to date by Monday with my new goal but everything you donate now will go directly to me!)
I also need to buy a flight up to Atlanta, which I currently don’t have the funds for. So if the Lord has put it on your heart to help me get there I’d be forever thankful!

This Lord is taking me on a wild and crazy journey and I’m learning to walk in obedience in that. I know it’s a quick turn around since I just got home from my race a month ago. But I am super pumped and super passionate about getting to be back on my favorite continent taking on a whole new role as a mentor and discipler. I hope you’ll support me prayerfully and financially in this next season! Please feel free to reach out with any questions you have!

Let’s goooooooooo babyyyyyyyyy!
