This past week was full of moments of awe.
Our team was able to host two families for dinner and perfect conversation because of the apartment we are blessed with this month.
With your help, we were able to raise enough money to help a member of the church get dental work.
During our daily bible studies with members of the church, we tackled some hard questions and challenged everyone involved to grow closer to the Lord.
Our new friend, Nellie, accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior & Lord and is starting a brand new life.
Victory is His.
The Lord is convicting me this month. He’s asked me to give up some things. He’s teaching me (over and over again) about what it means to sacrifice for Him. There is nothing worth keeping, everything is worth laying down for Him. He doesn’t ask us to give something up without replacing it with something much more satisfying, without bringing us closer to Him.
Give Him the time to work, and He will. Give Him the space to talk, and He will.
I finally feel like I am just living my normal life our here. Ministry, community, worship, all of it is finally just routine (in a good way! I’m not bored, or past the “honeymoon phase”; not about to jump on a plane home, AIM, don’t freak out!). I am just feeling more and more confident in my ability to continue living life this way when the race is over. Very comforting… and exciting.
We are officially halfway through our World Race adventure. In 5 months, we will be headed back home to all of you; changed forever for the Glory of God. Next month we head to Greece for another all squad month followed by a month in Romania where some of us get to see our parents for a week for Parent Vision Trip. Here’s to 5 more months on the field- learning more on how to turn this lifestyle into everyday life.
Thank you for all of your continued support!
So I’ll stand with arms high in heart abandon
in awe of the one who gave it all.
I’ll stand, my soul Lord to you surrendered.
All I am is yours.
I laughed when… I gracefully fell on rollerblades into a plant
I cried when… I remembered how lucky I am to have a ‘family worth missing’ after leaving the orphanage
I was grossed out when… My teammates caught snails and cooked them to eat with tomato sauce
I am currently reading… The Screwtape Letters
