This past weekend a few amazing things happened to me!

On Sunday, October 4th, I was baptized at my church, Mosaic! 🙂
As some of you know, being baptized has been on my heart for a while now. This is huge step in my walk with Christ and I am very thankful for everyone who came to witness! 🙂 My church was more than supportive when I reached out to be baptized and everyone has been very encouraging when it comes to The World Race. Mosaic is full of selfless, sincere, supportive people. I am inspired by their desire to show the world the hope and truth that Jesus offers. I credit a lot of my excitement for the race to this church and am going to miss being a part of the Mosaic community while I’m away. I hope I can show the world how to love God & love people the way Mosaic has shown me. Shout out to Mosaic for making things happen even during crazy times.

Here’s the video of my baptism! Notice I did NOT fall in or out of the tub. You know this is a real accomplishment if you know me at all. Thank you very much.

After church on Sunday, a group of us went out to a nice lunch. We ordered burgers, crab cakes, pasta and more. Never in my life have I seen my dad eat pancakes. Not even when I make them into Easter shapes and colors. What does he order at this fancy restaurant? Pancakes. Not blueberry pancakes, not banana pancakes, nothing special. Plain old pancakes with butter and syrup. Mind. Blown. Here’s a picture of the moment.

Training camp is ONE WEEK AWAY! I spent the last few days packing all of my things with the help of some friends. My packs weigh a total of 50 pounds! Everything I will need for 11 months including a tent, sleeping bag, and clothes are all inside of these two packs!

My goal is still to be FULLY FUNDED by the time I leave in January! I am just about halfway there! I made this poster this weekend! Help me fill it up! Pick a number to donate (27=$27) and I will cover the box with your name! Once every box is covered I will have a drawing for 6 winners. The prizes will range from detailed letters from me while I’m on the race to a $100 gift card! You can claim as many boxes as you’d like (the more boxes, the better your odds for a prize!). Thank you for all of your support and please share my blog! LOVE YOU ALL!
