This month was hard. Probably the hardest yet. This month the Sheila's went from 7 to 6+1 in the USA.

At the beginning of the month Meg was taken to the doctor because she was experiencing excruciating pain. What was supposed to be a quick fix and easy answers, turned into a nightmare, a real life episode of House that wouldn't come to an end.

Day after day, night after night, Meg stayed in the hospital with little relief from her pain and no answers.

The doctors were baffled, all pointing fingers at one another.

I can't tell you a lot about Uganda or its people, because my ministry this month was serving Meg and whoever was staying with her at the hospital. Those of us that weren't in the hospital would wait for a phone call update or a text with of list of needs and go unite with our team during visiting hours.

After two weeks, a small army of doctors and still no answers, it was decided that it would be best for Meg to continue medical care stateside.

Meg was discharged and we were all reunited for a few days, fellowshipping over homemade tacos and guacamole, breakfast overlooking the Nile, and even my birthday celebration dinner. After several goodbyes, stifled tears, and many hugs, the Sheilas saw Meg off to the USA.

So for now the Sheila's are separated. Part of us is in the states and the other has a little more time in Africa. But fear not, we already have flights booked and dream vacations planned in August so we can all hug each other again. And in classic Sheila style, we will give Sarah our green peppers, Shayna the extra cheese, Micah the readymade coffee, Abby the bodies of gummy bears, Jenni the extra avocado, me the apple core, and Meg the extra spaghetti, with no sauce.

Sweet Meggipoo, saying we miss like crazy is an understatement. We are praying and so thankful to hear you are finding answers and relief from pain in the USA. Get well soon!! Cant wait to hug you and chat with you state side!! 🙂 Until then, enjoy enough Chick-Fil-A for all the Sheila's! 🙂
