A day in the life on the Island!
(Thanks for this idea Cheyanne!)

5:30am – I roll out of my bed to a standing position and as energetically and cheerfully as I can, I wake up Cheyanne and Angela for morning yoga! I usually get faces like this…

6:30am – Go to Kitchen and help cook/serve breakfast 🙂

(French toast!! and beans with onions)

8-11am – Time to go to work! It varies everyday, but we are usually paired with at least one other person and we work until we complete our task and then go help other team mates complete their tasks until all the tasks are completed.

I usually work in the kitchen with Yahieda practicing my Spanish and cooking skills! This has been my favorite because I have built a strong friendship with the kitchen staff, have learned a few new recipes and can squeeze limes like a champ!

But, other days I have worked in the garden which was fun, hard work learning how to use a hoe and properly water tomatoes plants.

6:30pm – TeamTime! This is a norm on the World Race in which our team comes together every night to talk about the day, what we have been learning and how we want to continue to grow.

9:30pm – Everyone starts winding down and getting ready for bed with trying to avoid the tarantulas(!!!!!!) and numerous geckos that like to hang out in our room.

What an incredible month it has been incredible so far! The Lord has truly blessed us!

Love to all,
Brittany
