6 days a week, all 20 of us in bar ministry head out to hit the streets of Chiang Mai, Thailand to overwhelm the city with prayer and praise and to be brilliant shining beams of light that dispel darkness wherever we go, casting out darkness in Jesus' name and praying over specific bars and people we've met in them.
This has been one of my favorite parts of our ministry here. We get to pray daily for deliverance and redemption, for his people to know him, and for his kingdom to come in this place!
Every prayer walk is different and unique! Sometimes my group of 2 or 3 prayer partners and I will focus on the heavily concentrated bar area, and other times we will make a big circle around the city, covering more grounds. Sometimes we will pray out loud together (with our eyes open, of course, for safety reasons 😉 , and other times we will pray silently. But usually always by the end, we end up singing praises and worshipping together. May the powers of darkness tremble as our praises rise!
There is something so powerful about lifting up the name of Jesus, singing songs of praise, and proclaiming Jesus' name and his victory over these bars, this city, and this nation.
“Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.” Psalm 96:2-3

One of my favorite prayer walks so far has been the day when Kalin and I were walking through the darkest area of bars and brothels, where the atmosphere is so heavy with emptiness and loneliness. And then, we began to sing the song "God of this City", and boy was the presence of the Holy Spirit tangible in that moment!! With a chill running through me, I continued to sing those powerful lyrics over that place. You're the God of this city. You're the king of these people. You're the Lord of this nation. You're the light in this darkness. You're the hope to the hopeless. You're the peace to the restless. Greater things have yet to come, greater things are still to be done in this city.
It was such a powerful thing to declare his victory over the darkness and his great plan for this city, and his people!
I continue to pray for Christ's name to be known and lifted up in the red light district of Chiang Mai, and for this city to be turned around and used for his glory!
Also, I wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has continued to support me financially and through prayer!!! It is such an enormous blessing to have an incredible support system at home fighting for us in prayer and also helping me meet my financial deadlines. Love you all, and thank you!!
