It’s official~
I have met my June deadline and will be launching for sure on July 4, 2013 for the World Race!!!
There are no words that could properly describe the feelings and emotions that are racing through me right now.
Just 2 weeks ago I still needed a whopping $2,200 to be able to launch, and wow, did the Lord bring it in quickly and miraculously.
The Lord has continued to bless me abundantly and shown me how uses the body of Christ to come together to accomplish great things. Astonished and amazed, I have witnessed the generosity of friends who have financially blessed me, supported me at numerous fundraisers, and have contributed through the Bible House donation jars. I am so overcome with gratitude for every single one of these incredible blessings.
As a result everyone’s support, I have met the deadline for June 17th two weeks early, AND raised enough to cover travel insurance and airfare to launch!
Not too long ago, I remember feeling overwhelmed by the huge sum of money I needed to raise, thinking to myself, “How on earth am I going to do this?” But then the Lord reminded me that I am not in this alone! “Be strong and courageous! Do be afraid of them! The Lord your God will go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6) He reminded me that because he has called me to this great mission, he will be with me every step of the way–even when fundraising seems daunting!
In taking the step of faith to place fundraising in his hands, the Lord has truly blown me away and blessed me beyond what I had hoped for. Learning to lean on the Lord and trust him with this crazy goal of raising fifteen-five k has been, and will continue to be, and huge growing experience for me.
It must be one of the most incredible things to be able to look at a seemingly impossible task (like getting to $2,200 in under two weeks!!) and watch how God works it out effortlessly.
I am so awestruck at his goodness and faithfulness to provide, and I’m so excited to walk through the last $9,000 with him~
I would also like to thank each and every one who has gotten me to this huge milestone in fundraising!! My heart is overwhelmed with deep gratitude for all of your prayers and support. I am so blessed to have such an amazing support system of loving people who are always there to speak words of encouragement, pray for me, and help me in any way I might need. I love you all so much, and I thank the Lord for you and your kindness and generosity!
