You couldn’t pay me to come home (not offense mom). . . I am beyond excited about where I am. . It’s just begun!
I started out in LA on Jan. 6th heading to Tai Pei, Taiwan (15 hour flight) and we then boarded our second flight to Bangkok (4 hour flight) and upon arriving to Bangkok, we had no transportation to get to our ministry location (sweet right?) We loaded up in caged trucks with our packs and rode about 30 minutes to the bus station. . . Bought tickets to head to Phuket, Thailand (14 hour bus ride). . this bus was air-conditioned PRAISE the Lord. . however, we were seated on the top deck of the bus. . aka. . . constant movement–Those PSI bands from REI are amazing. . I wasn’t sick once! It’s Jan 9th and we have finally arrived. . .
The first few days are technical/logistical things and we will begin ministry in a few days. . . . . My team is traveling to North East Thailand to be stationed for the month working with a pastor doing evangelism, sports camps, English camps, and anything else requested. . We are all ready to serve!
MY HEART:
“Three days after Jesus was crucified, the disciples were locked in a room hiding in fear. They thought their story was coming to end, but really it was just about to begin. All of a sudden, Jesus walked through the walls and said, “Peace be unto you, just as the Father sent me I am sending you”, and then He breathed on them the Holy Spirit. The men who had fearfully locked themselves in that room came out and Changed the World”
I read this in a blog and it captured my heart for this season. . . Of all these new experiences it’s only natural to experience a unique vulnerability, wanting to run and hide. . .
. . . No Fear. . . We’re about to change the world. . . I can be a voice for this generation. . and I am thankful for the opportunity
