Yesterday my 88 year old Nommy had a stroke.

A pretty severe one.

Though she is 88, Lil Miss Nom is a trooper.

She is tough, strong, and physically in awesome health.

Her mind is weak and she is forgetful, but the physical was never a concern for us.

The results of this stroke were quite physical, but thankfully her mind did not experience a great deal of damage.

This came out of nowhere, we were blindsided.

The next part of the story blindsided me even more.

My mom was calm.

I was calm.

My family was calm.

Because we trust in Jesus.

Jesus, the divine physician who loves Nommy more than all of us combined.

He is the one who is tending to her every need right now.

And we are praying. Continuously.

Last night we all prayed powerful healing prayers…and Jesus did not just come through, but is going to use this as a catalyst to increase the faith of my family.

Because that is how He works.

Jesus takes something that looks completely dark and sad and infuses it with hope and makes something good come of it.

Thank you Jesus for that incredible truth. Thank you for always causing a rainbow in a storm.

May I and my whole family proclaim Your goodness and not water down any detail of Your divine healing that occurred last night and will continue to occur in Nommy's body.
