As I lay here in Park City, Utah, beside a pool, in the mountains, reading a book next to my sister, I realize I am not just blessed or fortunate. I am beyond blessed. Beyond fortunate.
God has given me so much.
He's given me security, stability, and more than enough to not just meet my needs, but my desires too.
I have been given much.
And now it's time to give back much, much more.
I love how the Lord so gently prepares His willing servants for the next big chapter.
Each day He is revealing to me how to live less for me and more for Him and His people.
He is teaching me to pray in a way that I always assumed was too bold and too outrageous.
That's also what He is teaching me…this life is meant to be bold and outrageous.
That's how God loves-bold and outrageous.
That's how we are supposed to love Him-bold and outrageous.
That's how we are supposed to love everyone-bold and outrageous.
Though I don't think "supposed to" is the correct term.
We are able to. We are allowed to. We get the amazing privilege of doing so.
God continues to blow my mind with His generosity of giving patience and capability to love when you just ask.
You don't even have to ask verbally!
That's how good God is.
Ask in your heart.
Ask in your mind.
Briefly consider extending His love to someone and He'll bless you with more than enough because He measures in the overflow.
If we ask to be filled with His Holy Spirit, He doesn't just give us a level heart full…He gives us a heart that is spilling over-an uncontrollable waterfall of compassion and need to share it with those hurting, those in need.
Though it's a blessing to serve Him, it's still a tall order.
That's what's even awesome-er (yep, God deserves made up words) about Him.
He knows it's a tall order. After all, it's He who called the order.
But He doesn't assign and then peace out.
He assigns and then comes alongside to provide everything and more.
Next time I'm feeling discouraged or weak I'm going to remember this extraordinary truth.
