I have always LOVED italian food…tomatoes, garlic, pasta…all of it!

What’s your favorite indoor/outdoor activity?
Bonfire…seriously, give me the cool summer/fall nights, a truck blaring some country and a wide open sky! Love it!

 

What chore do you absolutely hate doing?
I haaaaaaaaate cleaning windows. Mirrors, I’m fine with. But Windows are just horrible. Especially in Michigan.

 

What is your favorite form of exercise?
Contact sports. Football, basketball, soccer, I love it all. Oh, and fishing. πŸ˜€
 
What is your favorite time of day/day of the week/month of the year?
THIS is my favorite time of year…the trees turning all kinds of reds, golds, and oranges…pumpkin EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE! Thanksgiving, NFL, bonfires, cozy sweatshirts and jeans…Fall is awesome.

 

What’s your least favorite mode of transportation?
I would have to say driving actually. I love to fly, Love to be on trains, buses are cool, but driving and spending gas and traffic are annoying. But it’s not like it’s terrible. I don’t mind travelling anywhere, no matter the transportation.

 

What sound do you love?
I love the sounds you DON’T hear when it is snowing…if y’all haven’t experienced it, it’s amazing. When it’s snowing really good, it pretty much blocks out all noise. So all you hear is absolutely nothing. It’s amazing. It’s so peaceful to see giant, beautiful snowflakes falling gently around you, and to have nothing else. Love it.


If you could throw any kind of party, what would it be like and what would it be for?
I would love to throw a World Race Party…have y’all come up here and just have an awesome time getting to know each other and hanging out! πŸ™‚

 

 

If you could paint a picture of any scenery you’ve seen before, what would you paint?
A Michigan Sunset. I cannot wait to see what my inspiration is May 2014!!!

If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what age would it be?
hmm…I would have to say mid-late 20’s…not sure why. That’s just the thing that came to mind!

 

If you knew the world was ending in 2012, what would you do differently?
Well, considering we are almost done with 2012, I don’t know…I wouldn’t have the time or money to travel yet like I want…but I guess to make it a point to “Go down swinging”…share the love of Jesus with as many people as I can…so I can see them in Heaven with me!

 

If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?
My mom. And she already is! πŸ™‚

If you could witness any event past, present or future, what would it be?
I would have loved to be there when Jesus split up the bread and fish amongst all of those people…talk about mind blowing! The concept is just crazy awesome to me. The Race, of course, I can’t wait to see the Lions win a super bowl…hah…uhmmm…I could go as deep as to say I cannot wait to witness all my firsts with my future children…(whom I love with all my heart already…). That will be exciting.

 

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
PLAY GUITAR! In fact, I plan on learning next year on the race!

If you had to work on only one project for the next year, what would it be?
Perfecting the art of Fundraising.


If you were immortal for a day, what would you do?
Visit Highly contagious patients and love on them for the day. Be someone who isn’t afraid of their sickness.

 

If you had to change your first name, what would you change it to?
At first I was going to say “I wouldn’t” but it says I have to…darn. Ummm…I would probably say…Michele. After my mom.

 

If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet?
Dead: I would love to have a chat with Paul…the start of the church and everything he experienced would be awesome to hear. And I want to know what that thorn was in his side…

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
Pay off my car and student loans…put some away and save/invest it, buy gear and put the money toward the trip.

I don’t really look like anyone. I heard Reese Witherspoon once from “Walk the Line”…but thats about it! I do have a twin who does local theater in Kentucky…my best friend found her on a brochure! We are pretty much identical…it’s hilarious.

 

What do you want to be when you grow up?
I have NO idea. Zero Expectations. God has proved me wrong too many times to put Him back into a box.

 

When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?
Usually listening to music…or taking a quick nap. Working 60hrs/week is exhausting.

Have you ever had something happen to you that you thought was bad but it turned out to be for the best?
This entire year. No joke. It has been the absolute WORST year of my life so far. But has happened for a reason…and for that I am thankful.

 

What was the last movie, TV show or book that made you cry or tear up?
I watched “What to expect when you are expecting” with my mom and sobbed twice.

What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever done?
Start to Recover from life's hangups…seriously, if you all have struggled with any hurt, habit or hangup (Ie: Trauma, neglect, food addiction, stolen teddy bear, anything!), google Celebrate Recovery and see if there is one in your area. Life changing.

 

What was the last experience that made you a stronger person?
Being broke. Seriously, I don’t have power right now it’s that bad. Makes me appreciate my job that exhausts me so much a little more…

 

What did you do growing up that got you into trouble?
Bad grades and lying about my bad grades…I had undiagnosed ADD…which overflowed into my school work unfortunately…

 

When was the last time you had an amazing meal?
I went to Qdoba last night. Ohmygosh. That and I went to XO the night before that. YUMMY IN MY TUMMY!

 

What’s the best/worst gift you’ve ever given/received?
Best Gift: A Camera to replace the one that got stolen out of my car.
Worst Gift: I haven't really had one…
 
What do you miss most about being a kid?
Almost everything. I miss not having bills, I miss having big, unrealistic dreams, an imagination without boundaries…

 

What is your first memory of being really excited?
My sister and I used to pray every day for a Golden Retriever puppy…and we finally got one. Only to give it away months later. haha

 

What was the first thing you bought with your own money?
A walkman in Chicago with my mom at the Sony Store.

Umm…last weekish sometime?

 
What is something you learned in the last week?
That it is okay to not be okay sometimes…it’s how you deal with it and dig yourself out of the funk/hurt that matters. That and that God has got my fundraising under control, I just have to be patient and diligent to contribute and it'll come!

 

What story does your family always tell about you?
I used to call chocolate Ice cream “Biack” Ice Cream…because I used to mix up the words “black” and “brown” all the time. So I really meant “Brown Ice Cream”. I was a cutie I guess.

 

At what age did you become an adult?
This year. Life hit hard, I feel like I have aged 10 years in 9 months.

Where is the coolest place you have ever been to?
Maui. Holy Gorgeous…we went in February…right when the Whales were in town! So awesome. The weather was perfect, the scenery was mind blowingly gorgeous…there aren't really words. *sigh*


What is one word that you would use to describe yourself?
Passionate

If you knew you could not fail, what would you do?
I wouldn't do anything different…I may be taking this too seriously, but I can't fail…That would imply that I was the one holding God up. Because I rely on Him, even if I fail, I am perfectly redeemed through His sacrifice. So I don't know if that makes sense…haha but I don't let failure prevent me from doing anything right now.
