Hi, welcome to my blog! This is my first time blogging so please bear with me as I figure this out 🙂

Ever since I can remember, I always thought that after high school, the only option was to go directly to college. Boy was I wrong!

This past year, I cannot tell you how stressed I was about going directly to college. I was nervous about not getting into a “good enough” school or not being able to be as successful as I wanted to be.

I kept hearing amazing things about gap years and how it sets you up for success. I knew I wanted to do something that would make a difference in my time off from school, and spreading the gospel is the best option in my opinion. With a quick google search of faith based gap years, adventures in missions came up. As soon as I started reading, I knew this is what I was supposed to be doing. I started crying tears of joy, (and for those of you who know me, I don’t do that often) and I felt it was a sign from God that this was His path for me to take.

I got accepted a week later (my friends and family can tell you I was a nervous wreck during that week of waiting) and have not looked back since. I am so humbled that God has called me to spread His word and make disciples for Him.

Looking back, God had been planting seeds in my life to direct me towards this decision to go on the world race. He has placed people in my life who have been disciples of God around the world and have told me stories of God’s work for years, which in turn has inspired me to go.  He also sent me to the Dominican Republic for the last 8 out of 9 years serving in a community of people who I now call my family.

If you have been a part in the journey to this point, I can’t thank you enough. I am overjoyed at this opportunity and can’t wait to see what’s in store.

If you would like to donate and/or pray for me and my team, I would greatly appreciate it. Above there is a donate button that sends funds directly to my fundraising account.
