Dear Friends, Family, & Brother/Sisters in Christ:

Over the last few years I have been focused on my education and starting a career right out of graduate school. During my time in school, I traveled to many places and started to get a heart for missions. One time, in particular, I visited a refugee camp in Austria and experienced individuals who lost everything but still praised God for the little they had.

A few years ago, I saw a post on social media about a girl who had traveled on something called the World Race. I did some research and felt that it was something I wanted to explore but placed it in the back of my heart while I completed school. Fast forward to the Winter of 2015-2016 when I sat in my grandmother’s church and listened to a man speak of his mission experience overseas. It inspired me to look within myself and follow my calling to apply for the World Race. A few months later, I was accepted!

The organization, Adventures in Missions, directs the World Race program. The World Race is an 11 month Christian missions trip to 11 different countries. During my time on the race, I will be serving with a team of individuals who have the same desire to reach out to the least of these. We will be serving in partnership with various churches and ministries within the local communities to preach, minister to sex trafficking victims, teach children the Word of God, spend time in orphanages, as well as focus our time and effort in restoring hope and strength in Christ to every tribe and tongue.

In preparation for my departure, I have the challenge of raising financial support. Like many other mission’s trips, World Race requires participants to raise funds through various avenues of fundraising. In order to be fully funded on 11/30/2017, I need to raise $17,617. This will cover all of my expenses while in the field for 11 months. Just as Isaiah 6:8 says “Here am I. Send Me”, I am stepping out in Faith. To do so, I am asking for you to please prayerfully consider joining me at $100 a month or another amount that you may feel comfortable with.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 304-412-9719. Also, you may check out my blog at brigitsouthall.theworldrace.org to follow my journey now and during the World Race.

God Bless,
