hmmm….experience different cultures, eat some crazy foods, travel the world, live out of one backback for the year, meet tons of strangers, work side by side with some of the most amazing people in the world, see lives changed and hearts and hope restored…..yeah…i’ll sign up for that….
I’m Brienna. I’m 25 and I’m currently living in the very, very, very hot state of Texas. A few of my favorite things are: friends, meeting new people, fishing, watching movies, Mexican food, thinking, music, being on the lake, camping and anything outdoors, shopping, pedicures, puppies…well pretty much everything except for spiders. I don’t like spiders! This will most likely be a challenge for me in the upcoming year. 🙂
I kind of grew up in a lot of different places. We moved around alot but I went to Junior High and High School in Oklahoma. I moved to Texas in 2000 for college and have been helping out at an incredible church (Hope Fellowship) since then. God really has blessed and encouraged me by letting me experience life with these people. hmmmm…so my background – I got to know the Lord January 26, 1996 at a youth convention. I have one younger brother who plays college football in New York; A lovely mom who lives in Oklahoma; And a great dad that I miss more than words can say. (He passed away in 2001) He let me be the worlds biggest daddy’s girl growing up. So there’e my family shout out.
I graduated from a Bible University (SAGU) in 2004 with a degree in Youth Ministries and a Minor in Bible. Since then, I have been trying to figure out life while I work with an awesome group of students and youth staff in Frisco, Texas. My passions in life are missions work, injustice, passionate people and teenagers. I truly believe teenagers have the ability to change the world.
My life, like many of yours, has been a constant roller coaster. Full of ups and downs, laughter and tears, twists and turns, highs and lows – but what is life without those extremes? I’m so excited about this next portion of my life – The World Race. I can’t even begin to imagine the things that lay in store for me for this next year. I just plan to strap on my seat belt and enjoy the ride…
