After our 4 days
in the bush we returned to our campsite under the tree only to discover that Clinton had made plans to move us to a different location. Plans fell through with our current
contacts, and it seemed that the best option at that point was to move. When we arrived at our new home I felt like I had been time warped somewhere else. When I woke up that morning I was in the middle of nowhere with no access to the outside world. We had no shower, no bathroom, no kitchen. Nothing but grass and bush for a hundred miles. Then 4 hrs later we arrive at one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. We ended up camping on the property of a resort that was being rebuilt after the cyclone. Our
new contact, Kobus, was a business man from South
Africa who buys property in Mozambique and builds and sells/rents
resort lodges all along the coast. His property is BEAUTIFUL! He had heard about the troubles we were having with transportation, communication, and finding ministry, so he wanted to help in any way he could. We spent a week there resting, looking for new ministry options, and playing a little bit. Kobus and his
employees showered us with generosity and blessed us beyond anything we could have
imagined. His private chefs cooked us dinners every night (including coconut
chicken, fresh fish, and calamari), Kobus also took us in his boat out deep sea
fishing in the Indian Ocean, snorkeling, and adventuring on a couple of islands. He did his best to
hook us up with contacts/ministries in town such as teaching English in
schools, working at the Red Cross, etc, but unfortunately everything kept
falling through. Looking back it’s clear to see why…God was shutting those
doors because he had another adventure in store for us instead….

I have never seen such beautiful water in all my life. There were so many shades of turquoise and deep blues…just gorgeous!
