We returned to our village last night (1/23) after spending two days reconnecting with the other teams. We had a great time of fellowship and fun, not to mention amazing food prepared for us by our contact Samuel. Over dinner all the teams stood up and shared stories of our weeks and ways that we had seen God moving and working throughout our villages. It was somewhat comforting to hear that we weren’t the only group struggling with language barriers, but it was also so encouraging to hear about the ways God was overcoming that and still using us to impact these people’s lives. My spirit was definitely renewed and refreshed, and I came away with an energy and excitement for our ministry that I really didn’t have before. Praise God!

Looking forward to this week of ministry, I’m excited to really dig in and make a difference instead of standing on the sidelines whining about not being able to communicate the way I want to. Thanks so much to everyone who sent words of encouragement after my last blog. God really used them to help me get over myself and my preconceived ideas of what our ministry should look like. I’ve just committed to doing the best I can with what I have and leaving the rest up to God.

I hope you all enjoyed reading everyone’s blogs from this weekend…definitely some awesome stories of God’s hand moving…and some great pictures too! (Ryan has some of the best pictures from our group.) We are going to be here until Feb. 2, so please continue to pray for the precious people of Aguilar. We’ve only begun to scratch the surface. Much love!
