Hi everyone! For those who do not know me my name is Bridget Mirizio. I am 24 years old and I am from Gilbert, Arizona. I was raised by my amazing parents. I was lucky enough to be the middle child. I have an older sister and younger sister. I grew up in a Roman Catholic family. It has always been important in my family to have God in our lives. Every Sunday up until my sisters and I could drive we went to mass together. As we got older our schedules changed and we were no longer able to go together. Shortly after high school I decided to join my churches choir. I have always loved to sing and I have always felt closer to God when I sing.
One thing that my parents always made sure we did was helping the community in any way we could. Whether it was helping with vacation bible school at my church or going to feed my starving children and making food packages for the less fortunate. I have been interested in going on a mission trip for a while now but it never seemed like the right time.
The past two years I was in the police academy trying to become a police officer. Over the past 2 years I felt like I lost myself in the process. Two months before leaving the police academy I had discovered the world race. Again it was poor timing. At the time I had no intention of leaving the police academy but I still was interested in applying. I prayed about it for two months. I asked God to give me a sign if this was something I was meant to do. Two months later I decided it was in my best interest to leave the police academy. I took this as my sign from God to put in an application. I was lucky enough to get accepted. I am very excited to across the U.S. to spread the gospel and help those in need.
