We are now entering into our third week of ministry. The past week we have mainly done evangelism and ask the lord. A team from Guatemala came up to do some teachings with us as well as work with us. All while we were still in Georgia.
At launch our squad mentor handed us out Bibles. The bible’s she gave us were specifically created so that someone who was reading it for the first time would have an easier time reading it. She told us to find someone within the next month and give it to them.
One day while we were out with the team from Guatemala I happened to walk into a Mexican restaurant. I was with a Male from the Guatemala team named Gabe. He spoke fluent Spanish. He started up a conversation with the host. I had no idea what they were saying. The host seemed very nice. Eventually they switched over to English instead. The man told us how he was raised Catholic but hardly practiced it anymore. He told us about his wife whom he’d been married to for 3 years.
While we were talking, God reminded me of the bible that my squad mentor Theresa had given to me. I told the host about the bible. I explained how I was told to find someone who needed the bible.i explained how I am catholic and how i felt that i needed to give the bible to him. He was shocked. He kept saying “are you sure you want to give that to me?” I said “absolutely.” Afterwords I felt like I had accomplished so much in such a short period of time.
The main purpose of creating World Race America was for revival. To find those who had strayed from the kingdom of God and remind them how much God loves them.
