I wrote this blog about the Walk-a-Thon Fundraiser a couple weeks ago. Somehow in the midst of teaching summer school and training camp I completely forgot to post it!
Thank you to all of you who walked, sponsored, and prayed for this fundraiser! It was definitely a success and we were able to raise $680. It was a perfect day to complete the Walk-a-Thon along Lake Michigan. (I originally thought it was hot…Until I camped outside for 9 days in Georgia…That has definitely given me a whole new definition of hot!)
I’ve mentioned before that I love how God has brought together so many people from all different stages of my life throughout this fundraising process! It’s been amazing to see how God has used people from my elementary school, college, former jobs, etc. to partner with me. The Walk-a-Thon included my brother (Denny), elementary and high school friends (Rachel, Kristin, and Stephanie), and my college friends and roommates (Valerie and Janet). Thank you for finding sponsors, walking, and partnering with me to bring the Kingdom of God all over the world!
