Human Trafficking is a bigger problem than any of us can imagine.  It’s all over the world and children are being sold into it daily.  You may wonder what one person can do to stop this problem?  Threads of Hope is an organization helping one town, Puerto Galera in the Philippines, stop young girls from being sold into prostitution.  A missionary family in Puerto Galera began this ministry when they discovered how many local families felt as if they had no other choice but to sell their daughters into a life of prostitution in order to provide for their families.  Threads of Hope was started and now several families work daily to create handmade bracelets and necklaces.  These bracelets are being sold in Puerto Galera, as well as throughout the United States.  Threads of Hope began a fundraising program in order to sell a greater number of bracelets.  They are partnering with several World Racers in order to earn funds for the World Race, as well as a portion going directly back to the families in Puerto Galera, Philippines.  I am selling these bracelets for a minimum donation of $2 a piece.  Please email me at [email protected] if you are interested in purchasing bracelets or helping me sell them.  Please watch the video below to learn more about Threads of Hope My team will be starting our World Race in the Philippines in September 2010.
