Three years ago I said, “I won’t teach anything below 4th grade.”  Three years later I’m sitting here after completing three years of teaching 3rd grade.  Good thing God’s plans are better than mine!  I have to be honest, It was VERY weird to pack up my classroom a couple weeks ago and not know where and when I was going to teach again!  Sometimes I wonder why God didn’t call me to the World Race right after college.  It would have been “easier” to go then…before I had a car, job, a routine, etc.  However, I look back at these three years at two different schools and am SO thankful for the gift God has given me.  I could go on and on about the good times, the hilarious times, the difficult times, the confusing times, etc….But, basically, God put so many people and situations in my life that challenged me in my faith and walk with the Lord.  I have met teachers, principals, students, parents, and other staff that have encouraged me, challenged me, and directed me when it was necessary.  Overall, I’m extremely thankful for the past three years and my three years in 3rd grade!
