Hi all.
Christmas has sprinted by and we are fast approaching the New Year, and for me, departure date! The preparation process has taken me by surprise in some ways and challenged me a whole lot. Holding the responsibility to get done what needs to be done in one month’s time has been exhilarating and very honestly, a bit frightening. However, I’ve been so encouraged by the support given towards this trip by the people in my life.
I’ve been thinking of you a lot this past week. There are so many people in my life who have built me up to who I am today – teachers, friends, employers, role models, family. As I think of each of you, I’m warmed with gratefulness for each time one of you taught me, encouraged me, corrected me, showed me the right way, loved me. Those were the moments that have made me ready to teach, encourage, correct, and show love to the people I will meet in the Philippines. You have already prepared me for this mission. Thank you!
As I continue to prepare the physical aspects of this trip, I ask that you continue to pray for this mission. May it be effective to shine the light of Jesus. May I be equipped with all the supplies and grace and knowledge that the trip will require.
