Dear Family and Friends,
I hope your holiday season went well and happy new year! I have some exciting news that I’d like to share with you. On September 1st, 2014 I will be embarking on a mission trip for 11 months in Asia. The mission trip is called the World Race and is part of Adventures in Missions (AIM), an interdenominational mission’s organization.
The World Race is an 11 month mission trip to 11 different countries, allowing me to see and experience a wide part of the world while serving the Lord through partnering with different ministries and pastors in each country. The 11 countries that I will be going to are: India, Nepal, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Japan, China, Mongolia, and the Philippines.
While in each country we won’t have a set schedule of what we will be doing, but instead our goal is to meet our hosts’ needs in that moment with a willingness to do whatever they might need us to do. This might look like working in a school, hosting a VBS (Vacation Bible School), painting a house, other maintenance around our ministry site, door-to-door ministry, or prayer walks.
I will face many challenges all throughout the World Race, but as I prepare for my departure, one of my greatest challenges is my financial support. Like most other mission organizations, World Race participants are required to fundraise for financial support. In order to be fully funded, I will need to raise $16,254. This money will cover all my field expenses for the 11 months of the trip. As I take this large step of faith in trusting the Lord, would you please prayerfully consider in financially supporting me?
