In my life I have had some great experiences. Some of the success I personally had gave me a feeling of purpose on this earth. I went back to the bookshelf recently and read The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. I then realized how off my perspective of life was. I was searching for purpose in the wrong areas. My purpose should always be knowing Him and making Him known to others, whether by my words or the lifestyle I live.

One of the things I see my generation searching for is joy. This joy people are searching for is only found in having a relationship with Christ. It is also one of the fruits of the Spirit. This probably explains why I have so much joy in fellowship with other believers. You get to take part in celebrating this true joy together, as a church body.

Experiencing the joy of the Lord is awesome but when it becomes your strength it gets your through any season in life no matter how difficult. This is an amazing thing to experience because the joy of the Lord is this: the peace of knowing my home (heaven) awaits me and what I’m living for (Christ) becomes my number one focus in eternity.

As a fundraising update, I have raised over $4,300 and have met my first deadline. Thank you so much for your financial support and encouragement! The 11 countries I’ll be at in Asia are:

One of the things I’m most looking forward to is community and caring for orphans. I’m told not to have any expectations for the world race and I’m doing well with that. I did ask God to do whatever in my heart during this trip. To change me from within. I think He has already started answering this prayer.
