Sitting on the board, arms crossed squinting into the sun I look upon the horizon and see a big set of waves coming in. The surfers around me quickly notice and all of a sudden people are yelling ‘outside! outside!’. I immediately lay down on my board and paddle as hard as I can towards the outside.
I’m in this spiritual moment in my life right now where I am paddling hard towards this big set of waves coming in on the outside. It’s so close I can feel it. Only God knows exactly what the specifics are, I’m just here to serve Him and prepare for this epic journey upon the horizon of serving my Savior.
I prayed a prayer more than five years ago which God answered. My prayer was that God would set eternity in my heart; that I would know the bravity of life and come to know how short life really is on this earth.
We only get one shot at this life.
That’s it. Just. One.
One life to live.
Only one life ’twill soon be past
Only what’s done for Christ will last.
