WOW! Guess what? Training camp is TOMORROW!
TOMORROW I'll make my 5 1/2 hour drive south to the great state of Georgia, and I could not be more excited!
I've thought about this moment for the past 7 months and it has finally arrived…needless to say I am STOKED to meet all (right around) 70 members of my squad family, as well as the other squads, and all of the leaders and AIM staff, and well, to get this thing rolling for say! I know that it isn't going to be a totally easy week, it's going to have it's difficulties, (so I've heard), but things don't have to be easy. And really we shouldn't expect them to be. All we can and should do is just be open to whatever the Lord has and take it as it comes, in the easy time and the hard times. He will carry us through the challenges, and rejoice and jump up and down with us in the happy and exciting times. I am ready for the Spirit to move and to move with Him!
I've asked Him to break off anything that shouldn't be in me in preparation for this journey. And you know that if you've ever asked Him to do that, that it is a 'scary' prayer, that is, it is one that you should cause you to 'buckle up' a bit. Because that is the kind of prayer that He wants us to always pray, He wants us to be vulnerable with Him and with each other. He wants to take out anything that isn't of Him and replace it with an overflow of Himself. So, I am preparing (best you can) for changes of heart and for more pieces of His heart to be implanted in me.
I admit I feel a bit like the little boy in the 'David After Dentist' video at this point…."IS THIS REAL LIFE?!…" haha!
(if you have no idea what I am talking about, watch the video at the bottom of the blog, it's a litle boy who just came from the dentist and is still a little drugged up)
BUT ANYWAYS, I cannot wait to finally get there! I know that Abba has HUGE things in store for this week.
There has been so much resistance coming against all of us…example, I was terribly sick for almost a month, and my voice is STILL hoarse, haha!…the enemy has been trying his hardest to distract. But he will not win! He never will, he's already lost and is headed for the lake of fire. So I praise God for giving all of us strength and endurance to keep persevering on this journey He has led us on!
It's going to be a big week my friends, a big week.
I am expecting God to do great things, as He will.
We serve a BIG God, a great God, a God who's ways are so much higher than our ways. He always has a purpose for everything that happens in our lives, don't forget that.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths" -Proverbs 3:5-6
If you're someone who has joined the ranks of world race blogstalking, and maybe you're trying to decide if this is something God wants you to do, then I would tell you to seriously take time ALONE with Him and seek His face on your face! He will show you, He has a plan for you.
This is a sort of a mish-mash of a blog, so to add to the assortment, I also want to give a HUGE HUGE HUGE shout out and thanks to everyone who has and is supporting me thus far! God bless you IMMENSELY, you are amazing and I am so thankful for all that you have done.
