This is my page explaining all the details of this tournament fundraiser.
At the bottom of the page is a link for one wanting to pay for the raffle, t-shirt, or participating in the tournament. All the funds raised will go towards this trip (more details below).

What is "cornhole"? It's a game of precision and accuracy. One tosses a bean bag towards a plank of wood with a hole from a certain distance. You get points for ringing the hole or landing the bean bag on the board. The team who reaches the designated final score wins the game.
DETAILS OF TOURNAMENT
WHEN: Thursday, November 1st, 2012 from 4-7 PM (Check-in & practice at 3:30). The Tournament will START at 4 PM After the tournament, the final VSU regular season home football game will kick-off at 7:30 PM. Please go and support the Blazers!
WHERE: University Center Fountain off N. Patterson St. Valdosta, GA
COST: $25 per team of 2
PRIZE: 1st place = $400. 2nd place = $80 woth of various gift cards and discounts.
MUST HAVE AT LEAST 40 TEAMS FOR GRAND PRIZE TO BE $400, since this Is a fundraiser. If not, then it will be $250.
RULES: http://www.americancornhole.org/cornhole-rules.shtml Currently, it will be a single elimination tournament. However, the number of teams participating will determine if allowing a double elimination tournament. We will be using the American Cornhole Organiztion's official rules. However, "skunking" will not be counted. 1 Person may not play on 2 different teams, and you cannot play by yourself as a "team". Must have 2 people on each "team". If you have more questions, please ask.
REGISTRATION: Must pay $25 prior to 3:30 PM on Nov. 1st. I must get your phone # and e-mail. You can pay online or in person. I WILL be contacting the people of each team by phone or e-mail to confirm. The link below is an easy way to pay online (look for the option in the drop-down bar). Anybody over 14 years old can particiapte. This tournament is not limited to just Valdosta State students.
RAFFLE DRAWING
WHEN: Drawing will be done at 7 PM
WHERE: UC Fountain (Same as Cornhole Tournemant)
COST: 1 ticket = $5. 3 tickets = $10
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE: Those entered and participating in the tournament will automatically have 2 tickets in the drawing (1 for each person). Anyone over 14 years old. If you are from the Valdosta area, your raffle ticket will go towards the local prize and the final prize drawings. If you are from outside of Valdosta, or don't go to school there, those participating in the raffle will only be added into the Final drawing.
LOCAL PRIZES: (This list will be uploaded as I get more donations, and currently getting others donated from great local businesses as well) VSU Football Team Autographed Ball. 30-minute full body massage certificates. Meals and gift cards at various restaurants in Valdosta (Texas Roadhouse, The Mix, Buffalo WIld Wings, Cheddars, Elianos, Olive Garden, Chick-Fil-A, McAlister's Deli, Baytree Pizza, Mulligan's Sports Bar,and more).

FINAL PRIZE: Pair of UGA vs GT Football tickets, which is on Nov. 24th. Located in Section 132 Row 35 (UGA side 40 yard line).
DETAILS: I Must get your e-mail and phone #, because I WILL be contacting you to confirm. If you are from or go to school in Valdosta and participating in the raffle, I encourage you to be present. I say this because, if you are not there to claim your prize, I will do another drawing. For the UGA vs GT ticket drawing, you do not have to be present. I will contact you.

CORNHOLE SET AUCTION
COST: Starting at $100.
WHEN: During the event (4-7 PM) Auction closes at 7 PM, and the Highest bidder wins.
DETAILS: There will be a silent auction for each of the 10 cornhole sets we will have available. They will each be painted of various popular colleges within the Southeast. (UGA, GT, Auburn, Bama, UF, FSU, UT, South Carolina, and 2 Valdosta State sets)
Each set is built to ACO/ACA regulation, sanded, and painted to last many years (Pictures coming). Also, 5 bags of each cornhole set color will be included.
T-SHIRT
COST: $10 each.
I will post the pictures soon to the facebook event, but it's honestly a great design and selling it for CHEAP. Please give me your shirt size and contact information!

I have set up this Pay Pal paying option so your payment for raffle tickets, t-shirt, and/or participating in the Cornhole Tournament. All the money paid to my Pay Pal account will then be transfered to my support account for this trip.

I, Brian Barrett, and 3 others are going to Yei, South Sudan in January 2013 for a dedicated 18-month trip. I am a 2009 Valdosta State Graduate, and majored in Health and Physical Education. While in South Sudan, we will be partnering with an existing orphanage and ministry in the city of Yei. We desire to teach, disciple, encourage, empower, counsel, and raise leaders up specifically out of the orphanage. I will use my specific skills in teaching and working with the youth of specific sports, team building, basic healthy life skills, and communicating. If you have more questions of why we're going, what specifically we're doing, how we will make an impact, or anything about the current status of the location we're going Please Ask!
All the money raised, whether from PayPal, cash, or check will go towards my support account of this trip I am embarking on in January 2013. I'm going through a reputable non-profit organization called Adventures in Missions located in Gainesville, GA.
