The 2 Most import things vital for a human being to live, and to check signs of life. I learned at age 11 during my 1st Boy Scout summer camp First Aid class this information, and will never forget so much I learned in Scouts too.
However, when one thinks about it, there are So Many things that can go wrong with the Human Body but still keeps on living in the pain. Whether it’s having organs taken out/transplanted, limbs cut off, loss of a sense, kidney stones, and etc etc. I’m not gonna get too deep in human physiology and anatomy, but it does make me think how amazing our body can take a beating of different other things, yet continue to live on.
The main point is, if there is something wrong with one’s respiratory or circulatory systems then the existence of a human being is near its end. Even though many problems may be wrong with one’s body and it is not at 100% and healthy, it is still Just ….a living person.
I was thinking of this example as a correlative analogy of what a Christian is. I think of what a good Christian example is and how one acts from being around Many different types of people from the College Experience. In College one meets Many different types of people each with different beliefs and ideals in some way or another.
The statistics of the college age group range show the biggest drop in church activity. While in college I did meet people who “said they were a Christian,” yet didn’t act like one at all from my understandings in any way.
Before I continue to explain I do want to express how I am not typing this up to Judge people and “point the finger”. I made mistakes in college and surely didn’t act very “Christian like” in several times of my College career. However, I understood my mistakes over a short matter of time, and definitely asked for Forgiveness from God. We are all Human and therefore Born with Sin, but that’s a Whole ‘nother topic/blog.
ANYWAYS….I began to think, “what’s the 2 most Vital things for one to be a Christian”? I came to the simple conclusion of well….the 2 Greatest Commandments found in Matthew 22 1) Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and
with all your mind 2) Love your neighbor as yourself.
To be a Christian we Must have and follow these 2 Commandments. However, there are things Us Christians do (SIN). From what I experienced and learned in College, how one may say they’re a Christian and not do certain things repeatedly without care that just ain’t Christ-Like.
The Correlation between the Human Body and a Christian that I See and Understand is how Both Examples desire to be 100% in some way or another. Both can kinda be what each is to BE, but not really fulfilling it’s best at it. The things which surely takes a Christian away from being 100% is..well SIN and not obeying and even completely Ignoring the Commandments and what God tells us to do in the Bible. So, the Christian is at a maybe 60% if you want another example. Yea the person Calling themselves a Christian Believes & Loves others, but they may….struggle with gambling or drinking….I Don’t Know what it may Be….but it is SOmething that is in the way between one being closER to God
(Picture I took at Passion 2010 in January…..amazing)
Well, deep down…WAY DOWN there’s always a small desire to do God’s Will. It is in Every Human on this Earth, that there is Something in this World we Crave…to be Whole and With Christ..The MAKER of You & ME. I BELIEVE there is, and as a result it’s definitely what drives me to be as Best of a Christian I Can be in the Image of God…not Human Society, which many people Struggle So Much with.
I felt that there are So many “Christians” in the college areas…and high school aged folks who know who God is. However, they have gone So Far Away from Him, because they want to Live the Life of Human Society and it’s like ways the Devil/Satan is tryin to PRY us away from fulfilling our desires of being completely In Christ.
Fact of the Matter is….Being a Christian 100% is a very tough thing to do with Satan trying so hard to get us away from Acting and Speaking like a Christian, to begin with. I struggle with this battle Every Day…and So does Every Single CHRISTIAN in this World. Seeing so many so called “Christians” in college who just completely say 1 thing and turn their Back to it…just really hurts me. I LOVE the college ministries All Over the World who are there Trying to Reach Out and like help “re-focus” those who had become “lost”. For those who have been “Lost” and now “Found”..whether again or for the 1st time…..it’s such an amazing experience so that They could NEVER Go Back to the way the Were Without GOD.
Being a Christian was and is Never gonna be Easy.
This Video/Song by David Crowder…can be used I think in many different Ways and or in One’s Thoughts….and I thought it was sort of fitting to go along with this message
