In case you’re wondering this is a 2nd blog that goes along with my previous one I posted.
So, I got this crazy idea in my head maybe 15 minutes into praying for this blind lady. I waited, waited, and waited, until finally I made myself speak up and say something about it. What the idea was to basically take some water from my water-bottle, put it in her cupped hand, and basically rinse her eyes out with the water and to rub in the corner of her eyes as if she had something in it. Yea, similar to what we read in the bible, I got the idea.
I had the Huge debate in my head though going back and forth of whether to actually go through with the idea or not. You reading this blog has had this similar type of situation…many times. You have an opportunity for something, it may be something odd, you might get laughed at, it could end up good or bad, but all in all you aren’t sure what the heck is gonna happen in the end.
Many people shrink back from the opportunities due to fear or other personal reasons. Others go for it, especially those crazy risk-takers. Some people may be half and half, so sometimes they may take a risk in one scenario while in others they prefer not to.
I finally get up and do the crazy idea in my head, pray for her, and checked how she was doing. I would be thrilled to tell you that the ladies eye sight came back or that she could at least see some light. However, nothing happened what-so-ever. Nonetheless, we still gave praise to God for the opportunity to share time and fellowship with the lady.
Yea doubters could say and criticize how God may not have worked in this one occasion (along with many others), but we still keep the faith. Just because one major thing didn’t happened we really wanted to have happened doesn’t mean to just lose all your faith in God. That’s Stupid and for the people who call themselves a “Christian” yet never stand up and do something in faith, or lose their faith after 1 or a few uneventful things happen I pray God will have mercy on you on Judgment Day.
Also, I just want those reading to really look forward to opportunities God puts in front of you. They’re suppose to challenge you in a way. If I never did what that idea was in my head while we were there praying for that lady I would have regretted and have the thought in the back of my head of how I Never Known What Could of Happened.
Until next time, keep it real…Really exciting that is by taking up opportunities even though you don’t exactly know what will happen.
