Do I have a treat for you! I just came across this amazing ministry here in India. Now hold on before your conscience tells you this is a crazy idea. I have Many friends who are affiliated with Special Education and Nursing Majors. Yes, there is a large and good job market out there for you. However, this place I just came across Really could use some help from trained folks. Yes, that means You college folks who want to do a 2nd or 3rd masters, because you don`t want a full job yet…haha.
So, the background. It`s called Sarah`s Covenant Home based in Ongole, India. This woman, named Sarah of course, got a vision/calling from God to take in All the Special Needs children who were orphaned or basically not in really any good homes that took care of them properly in the Andra Pradesh Province. So, she did without even having a background in any Special Ed. field. Aboslutely crazy awesome story how she now has a home for 80+ special needs kids diagnosed with cerebral palsy, autism, dwarfism, and other different cases.
After discussing with one of the American ladies who pours So much into this ministry with her help, I really felt that someone I might know could Really help this ministry out. When I say Help, I mean go there and serve. It`s an amazing facility for what it stands for and being able to help these kids in serious need and at the same time you get a chance to minister to them. They really could use a helping hand of someone who is well educated and comfortable with Special Needs Children along with someone very kowledgeable with traits of nursing and/or physical therapy for these kids.
