I have felt as if I haven’t really explained to people via this blog exactly what we were doing while in Yalta, Ukraine.  Well, for the first 2 weeks we did a lot of cleaning up around the grounds of the church and hotel (yes, they had a hotel they used as a source of income).  We helped out with the construction of a dining hall too.

Cuttin some grass with clippers…fun

After the 2 weeks of cleaning up we did a week of camp with younger kids aged 6-12 at the church compound.  We just did a lot of “assisting” since we couldn’t speak Russian, but overall it was great and the kids loved us a lot…and we loved them too.

After that camp we left the beautiful seaside hills inland to a camp out in the woods to work with about 20 middle and high schoolers.  It was an Amazing time!  For me to be back out in the woods and camping and having camp fires every night was what I Needed.  God knew it too somehow..haha.  Even though I had some severe back pains (I’m healed now and I thank God So Much), it was a Great Time.

Amazing Landscape

We worked with some counselors too, who made the time in Ukraine even better.  Getting to hang out and work alongside them was a joy.  We will definitely miss them, and in the picture below you can tell they didn’t really want us to leave.  This is definitely one of the Best months overall on this trip, and I will dearly miss the wonderful people and land of Ukraine.

Crazy counselors attempting to keep us from going away

Last but not least, please enjoy our video of our living situation from this past month for only a week really.
